Air Purity Testing
Any user or owner of a breathing air compressor will appreciate the need for regular testing of the air, to ensure that it complies with relevant legislation, (e.g EN12021) and is safe to breathe. At Revolution Air Services, we can work with you to agree on a testing regime, which is based on your legal requirements, location, usage, equipment age, condition, and budget. The testing can be carried out on site by one of our engineers, or a sample can be sent away to a laboratory for an assessment in accordance with the requirements in EN12021.
Pressure Systems Safety
The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 require the users and owners of most pressure systems to be aware of the operating pressures and temperatures of their system, and that the system is safe to work within these limits. A Written Scheme of examination is required for each system, and an annual inspection must be carried out in accordance with the specifications of the WSE.
We can provide guidance on the requirements of the PSSR 2000, supply you with an appropriate WSE and carry out on site inspections, hydro tests and calibrations.
When installing any compressed air system, it is very important to ensure that all parts of the system are rated to a working pressure as high as the maximum working pressure of the compressor, this not only ensures your system is future proofed, but also that your system is safe. The key personnel in Revolution Air Services have gained experience from working for manufacturers of HP compressors, and can build on the knowledge to provide an installation that will be to a higher standard than many manufacturers require.
Servicing and Maintenance
As with all equipment, it is essential to maintain your compressor to ensure that it provides many years of reliable service, and in the case of breathing air compressors, safe, clean air!
The first point you need to consider, is to have your compressor serviced as a minimum in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations, however this may not be the best strategy for your particular equipment.
We can work with you to put together a planned maintenance schedule that keeps your compressor in a good condition, whilst minimising downtime.
We offer support packages on many different manufacturers equipment from vacuum pumps through to air and gas compressors up to 500 Bar, and we are able to include air / gas analysis and system inspections in accordance with your written scheme of examination.
For peace of mind we can also add 24/7 breakdown cover to ensure you are back up and running as quickly as possible in the event of a component failure.
Portable Appliance Testing
Portable appliance testing (also known as “PAT”, “PAT Inspection” or “PAT Testing”) is a process by which electrical appliances are routinely checked for safety. This process Is to ensure your equipment complies with “The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989” which specifies that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition. We can carry out PAT testing on your site to ensure your equipment is safe for your staff.
If you prefer to restore your existing system, rather than purchasing new equipment, we can offer full overhauls in our workshop to ensure the rebuild preforms to original specifications. For smaller equipment, it may be possible to carry out renovations at your premises.
